South African standard plugs come in two types: large and small. They typically consist of three cylindrical pins arranged in a triangle. The largest pin (ground) of a large South African plug is 9mm (diameter), and the two smaller pins (live and neutral) are 7mm each. Small South African plugs are largely the same as large South African plugs, but the pins are smaller, and the spacing between the pins is also smaller.

Pin: There are solid copper and hollow copper pins. Solid copper is of higher quality and has better conductivity, but it is more expensive. Hollow copper is usually injection molded and is cheaper.

Plastic Shell: PC or PP material

Screws: Color-coated zinc screws or other screws.

Style: South African plugs are available in injection-molded and assembled types. Generally, injection-molded South African plugs are directly connected to the power cord and cannot be disassembled or repaired. Assembled plugs, on the other hand, are equipped with screws, allowing customers to customize the product by selecting their own wiring. They are easy to install and repair.

Standard: The South African plug conforms to the BS546[1] standard and does not contain a fuse.

Applications: The product is widely used in small household appliances such as electric irons and table lamps, small lamps and other power tools.
